THE Bells' on the Coast, at Killcare on the Central Coast, has won the most outstanding property award at the NSW Hotel Motel Accommodation Association awards.

A number of Hunter and Central Coast properties were honoured at a gala dinner award night at the Crowne Plaza at Terrigal on Saturday.

As well as the most outstanding property award, The Bells' on the Coast won best short-break accommodation and best tourism initiative.

The Sebel Resort and Spa, Hawkesbury Valley, won for best convention/conference accommodation; Chiltern Lodge Country Retreat, near Taree, won best family accommodation and a judges award for innovation; and Hermitage Lodge, Pokolbin, won best motor inn.

Gerard Allen, of Horizons Golf Resort, won trainee/apprentice of the year and Carmen Fibbins, from Apollo Resort at Wamberal, won the young achiever of the year award.
